The one thing that the enemy has been successful at is convincing Modern Europeans, Americans and others that Monarchy or Absolute Rule is "evil" and "oppressive" compared to democracies. Before WW2, most countries in the world were Democracies, even though WW1 brought several Empires to their knees. But today over 60% of the world's governments are democracies and the rest are only Quasi-monarchies or some other strange arrangement for the most part, with a few exceptions. Sublime! I was in Vienna for the funeral of the Crown Prince, Otto a few years before this. What amazed me as a visiting American was when it came time for the old imperial anthem, the Kaiserhymne, and everyone around me knew the words and sang along. This is despite the fact that this is no longer the Austrian national anthem. When I hear it, I can’t help but recall that glorious funeral, a glimpse back into Europe united in the one Catholic faith!

Indeed. The one thing that the enemy has been successful at is convincing Modern Europeans, Americans and others that Monarchy or Absolute Rule is "evil" and "oppressive" compared to democracies. Before WW2, most countries in the world were Democracies, even though WW1 brought several Empires to their knees. But today over 60% of the world's governments are democracies and the rest are only Quasi-monarchies or some other strange arrangement for the most part, with a few exceptions. What people forget is that the social ills created under democracies ALWAYS lead to the most oppressive and dangerous form of society leading to Anarchy and the worst form of a dictatorship that usually follows. All democracies are very short-lived.

Sublime! I was in Vienna for the funeral of the Crown Prince, Otto a few years before this. What amazed me as a visiting American was when it came time for the old imperial anthem, the Kaiserhymne, and everyone around me knew the words and sang along. This is despite the fact that this is no longer the Austrian national anthem. When I hear it, I can’t help but recall that glorious funeral, a glimpse back into Europe united in the one Catholic faith!
