At the request of another editor, User:Guyonthesubway, I am requesting a checkuser for this named user and the following IP.[1] The editor believes this user outed (diff) him because of a COI issue here. Additionally a quick GeoIP lookup for the IP shows it is from the same city as the user says he is located in on his user page. Tiggerjay (talk) 06:42, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First edit of a new account is to remove a COI tag on an article the IP and probable Sockmaster appear to be associated with have been adding promotional material to. Guyonthesubway (talk) 21:54, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have also noted this behavior and was on the verge of opening a sock investigation myself. All three users--both accounts and the IP--are SPAs devoted to promoting Gold Pure Food Products Co. in one way or another. Puffery and spam have been added to the article itself, links to the article have been spread across Wikipedia, tags have been vandalized, etc. Despite multiple warnings and an investigation on the COI noticeboard, the behavior continues, with an increasing number of "users" making the edits.
