That friend who always likes to give her opinions isn’t entirely wrong tbh, as yeah, the premise of Chinatsu’s parents leaving the country and she living with someone else for the time being, which coincidentally includes a guy who has a huge crush on her, is like, straight up from the list of most searched fantasies on Brazzers. Though hey, as long as it doesn’t sway Chinatsu’s opinion and ideas, we’re cool. Most importantly, the way Taiki’s match played out, it’s clear she doesn’t care about these stuff, and yeah, notices him as much as he does.

I really liked the way they adapted this match as well. I mean after that embarrassing tournament, glad Taiki had a whole lot of self-reflection. Him getting another short end of the stick would’ve been a real dreadful thing to do as yeah, not only one but two girls were watching him, though again I’m glad, something of that sort didn’t happen lol. Taiki winning a set does feel like he won the match itself, the way all reacted, but hey, nothing wrong with that:) Hina should’ve tried btw… I mean, see Chinatsu and how she went after him.

Otherwise you know, the only place Hina would have a legit chance winning over Chinatsu, are Taiki’s wet dreams( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Amazing episode, beyond proud of my boy Taiki for bouncing back from one of his most disappointing losses, with one of his greatest victories. This is truly the shit champions are made of. No one cares how many times you lose, it’s about how you respond to adversity that’s the true measure of a man. Pure chills hearing Chinatsu narrate Taiki’s comeback against Yusa and how much she basically looks up to Taiki.

Taiki’s inner thoughts during the match and this episode in general, were so brutally honest I love it. His mind wandered from Hina’s confession and how happy he was about that to the wanting to impress Chinatsu, etc.

I like how in his dream we see Taiki does like having both Hina and Chinatsu fight over him. It’s played like a comedic moment, but I appreciate that he’s a normal selfish teenager who likes having the prettiest girl in school thirst after him, but also likes Chinatsu. As a boy you’d be foolish to not enjoy that, but some anime will portray it as the MC instantly being over the childhood friend after a rejection. Something does ultimately have to give though because with every episode Chinatsu falls deeper.

Yusa beating Haryu who’s been Taiki’s role model just shows how far Taiki has come. In a sense, he surpassed Haryu today. That’s so dope.

I dont know why, but the face of Chinatsu when the realization struck her, when her friend told her what "could" possibly happen when a boy and a girl of the similar age share a living spaces, was absolutely priceless, lmao. I mean, finally she told someone, instead of getting busted out like with Hina.

But never mind all that, because it was Taiki’s match that was what the kids call a peak these days, that was a great second match against the sleepy guy, almost as if a different person was playing.

Like when people complained that this was barely a sports anime, well, this was it. I really liked this episode.

The match was so much good and tense to watch those shots are like ufffff,
while Taiki is in middle of his feelings that really can't decide who to choose between chinatsu and Hina so let's wait and see what happens..
whatever happens but I was not expecting the studio to cover 5 chapters for this episode...

Again, I recommend to all the viewers to go read the manga. There are a lot of people cheering for some kind of development, people suffering, etc. Don't waste your time... check the manga and the latest interview with the author.

That was such a GOOD episode definitely my favorite episode so far the adaptation of Blue Box is excellent and it is one my way to become one of my favorite romance anime ever the characters and their chemistry is so good the conversations feel so natural and every episode I change whose side I'm on is it Hina or Chinatsu the last bit of the episode was also hillarious 10/10

I expected getting caught for spending her birthday overnight with a boy would reduce even Chinatsu into a flustered mess, so her calm and honest admission kinda surprised me. It's hilarious how she got more shaken up from Taiki roasting her singing LOL

That dream was the best thing ever. If only everyone that appeared could watch how lovingly and "accurately" they were depicted...

How lucky Taiki is that two girls who are closest to him watched his game. One he wants to confess to and one who has confessed to him.

Chinatsu's friend was pretty quick to realize that the guy she was with was Taiki lol. But she didn't have to spill the beans that she was living with him. Hopefully, her friend won't leak the information. But at this rate, more and more people are going to find out.

The madlad did it! Taiki finally won! And it's against the same guy who beat him last time. That was so satisfying to watch. Even Haryu lost to Yusa. So, how the heck did Taiki beat him? I guess being watched by the two girls really gave him extra power lmao.

That dream was absolutely bonkers lmfao. I guess even if he denies it, Taiki does have some feelings for Hina. He nearly spilled the beans about the near kiss with Hina to Chinatsu. Anyway, can't wait for the next episode.

I'm really proud of Taiki. He had to dig deep after getting off to a slow start where Yusa played him like a fiddle, but not only did Taiki finally find his own rhythm, but he outright won against Yusa. It was also nice that both Chinatsu and Hina were there watching him win that tough match as well. =)

Having said that, it was a surprise that Haryu would go on to lose against Yusa, which is rather troubling. With Hyodo out of the picture, this will be Haryu's best chance to win the inter high competition next time and Yusa will be one of his toughest obstacles in his path, so while this might've been a friendly practice match, this defeat against him is a bit worrying.

Taiki had a well deserved rest afterwards at home, but his dream was certainly a wild one at that! His feelings for both girls are pretty apparent, so it'll be interesting to see how he'll deal with this in the later episodes.

A decent episode that does show a lot more badminton action with Taiki and Yusa's match again and Taiki managing to overcome the odds with tons of self-reflection in there. I will say though, the visuals for this were subpar. Looked fairly awkward and choppy at times even with the direction.

It was nice seeing Taiki's efforts pay off, but Haryu losing to Musa doesn’t make sense. There’s a clear difference between Taiki and Haryu, so I’m not sure what the author is going for, but whatever.

The spicy part of this episode was Taiki mentioning the kiss with Hina. Even if nothing actually happened, that’s definitely going to make Chinatsu think about it and push her to do something.

The Pocari Sweat product placement is super strong in this one.

Taiki won but that must not be his full power if he was able to beat Haryuu.

I’m not really a fan of the episodes where Taiki’s getting stressed because Chinatsu doesn’t see him as anything more than a hermaphroditic blob. The anime writers should take a page from fan feedback and completely change the story from the manga

This is the first time I've had fun watching a sports game in this show!
It's obvious why I usually don't like them if you compare Taiki's and Haryū's games.
Haryū's game is what most games feel like; they basically show nothing and they end in an instant.
So when I learnt that he lost I was like: "Oh, that must have hurt. Anyway, let's move on."
On the other hand, I was cheering Taiki all game and was so happy with him when he won!
Talking with Chinatsu after the match is the second best reward he could have gotten for his great victory.
We learn what Taiki would have liked as a reward in that 10/10 dream, right before the end of the episode.
This is the 4th best episode of the series for me!

The episode was good.. but still a bit superficial I would say
since it's quite clear that yusa is better than Taiki but still he ended up wining the match mainly because of the fact that he is the main character.
It was mainly due to the adrenaline rush that taiki was able to pull it off.. otherwise he was clearly inferior to yusa

Anyways.. I am not complaining about the plot armour.. since I don't think taiki has got much privilege of being the main character

After the mental struggles from the last episodes, Taiki's practice match against Yusa-kun was going to be rough and it certainly started that way. The thoughts that came in from the beginning prevented him from bringing his full potential in the first set and the beginning of the second with Yusa being the favorite. But he was getting faster while processing everything and that showed once he pulled through some long rallies up until the very last point. Good for him, and for the people cheering him on.

Indeed, outside his peers there was Chinatsu who started looking back to her moments with him and not quite romantically but pondering about it. Meanwhile Hina who very much looks at him that way just didn't know what to say to him after the fact. Taiki still thinks about both and that dream it certainly a bit exaggerated but clear depiction of it. Will a kiss be featured before the season ends? I dunno.

I glad to see Taiki finally win against Yusa, after his self reflection from beaten by Yusa beforehand. But, ma boi Haryu lose, NO WAY. Why Haryu seems he has very bad luck in this anime after his multiple losing streak? Author you better make Haryu win next time -_-

Taiki proved he can be better than Yusa. I am sure he will win the official match and will qualify to the Inter High. He has all the support he needs (especially from Chii).

I would like so much to see Taiki and Chii kissing and finally being together, they are getting along so well and if you ask me, they are cute.

What an exciting episode! The match between Taiki and Yusa was really intense. I loved Taiki's thoughts when it looked like he was going to lose again, and it was heartening to see all his hard work finally paying off. This bout, even though it ended in a draw, was a testament to his progress. From brutally losing to Yusa, who didn't even remember him, to now drawing with him and being recognized by name, is a big step forward. I trust Taiki will continue to move forward. Haryuu's loss to Yusa was surprising, especially since Yusa had already played several matches, but he still managed to beat Haryuu with ease.

As for Hina, she clearly did not have the same faith in Taiki as Chinatsu. These small details will probably mean that Hina ends up losing, despite the big step she took by confessing her feelings to Taiki. On the other hand, Taiki is starting to see Hina more as a woman, even dreaming about her and Chinatsu 😏.
