| Why it is not Popular or why it seems to obscured? I just found out this anime in some random post here in Mal. Its Cute Girls Doing Cute Things Naruto Style! That should be a recipe for SUCCESS! Episode 2 and 3 already have mini chunin exam and when they try to steal there sensei hair tie, it reminds me of when team 7 getting the bells from kakashi. I was Hooked! The Animation and Background art style was also very good. My only gripe will be there is no Rasengan/Chidori But over all this very Good Shit! I thought at first this was some old anime, when I double check here in Mal its only release in 2022. I never seen this anime talk about by Popular Youtuber Like Mother Basement. So I am really confused here. Thus the marketing budget for this anime is non-existent? Over all my rating for this is 8.5 I really enjoyed this! |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

there are multiple scenes or episodes that have undeniable fanservice. Like the half-an-episode long scene of them bathing filled with constant shots of their naked bodies that did NOT need to be portrayed as sexual. Saying shit like "that's a you problem if you think they were sexualized" it's such a stupid cope to use, especially for this show. I say that I personally did not like this show because of the loli's and sexualization of a majority of the characters, who are all confirmed minors and very much look it, and suddenly that makes me some bad person? Also the OP literally asked why it wasn't popular. As someone who watched it back when it was airing, that was a big reason why it hadnt gained traction, and the show was very controversial then.

Monogatari has other elements that people love about it. Not that this show doesn't have good elements (I enjoyed other aspects of this, such as the characters for the most part or the clean animation), but this is moreso a ninja slice-of-life that doesn't have as much to offer in terms of standing out enough for people to recommend it to others. At least that's what I'd assume, I haven't directly seen Monogatari cuz there's too many series for it lol but I've heard people talk and praise many aspects of it that aren't the child stuff.
And if you at least got enjoyment out of the show then that's good for you, maybe you can recommend it to friends! There's so many shows I've seen that aren't popular or are underappreciated imo that I've recommended to friends that they end up loving, or that I just talk about with friends in general. A show doesn't need to be popular, especially with how many anime exist out there, for you to enjoy it so just keep that in mind :)
| @yoshZZ I watched the monogatari series. The fanservice in that anime is kinda border line Offensive. When the MC sisters always seen naked and sexualize (plus the infamous toothbrush scene) and when the other character the girl with the big bag is molested by the MC and waving it off as like a joke. No one seems to critisize that! and when in Kunoichi Tsubaki got a few minutes of young girls (with towel in their body) bathing then its now bad?! It seems to me there is a double standard in here. |

But I'm not going to have this discussion with someone who's argument is "sexualized cartoon kids". Why should I when it's all you can make up?
